Gunpowder Falls State Park features numerous scenic areas on 18,000 acres in the Gunpowder River Valley, which includes both Baltimore & Harford Counties. The park features over 100 miles of trails, trout streams and the historic village of Jerusalem and 18 century grist mill company town. Other park areas include a multi-use rail trail, swimming beach, picnic area, and marina.
Otter Point Creek/Anita C. Leight Estuary Center Located on Otter Point Creek, this 600+ acre portion of the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve was developed for research, technical workshops and confernences, cultural history presentations and seminars. Rocks State Park This day-use park is located on MD 24, eight miles north of Bel Air, and is situated on 850 acres bordering Deer Creek. Betterton Beach Waterfront Park - this 5 acre landscaped, family oriented waterfront park is the largest of two public beaches in the county on the Chesapeake Bay.
